Re: When are we going to take a stand?

I do have adamant feelings about this. I guess it was the way I was raised up. And it is a pigs sty to me seeing this in public. I know it is not our place to judge people but we all do it in some form everyday, that's just the way it is. And to the ones that are Christians, would you welcome a homosexual paster of your Church? Honestly?

I didn't say anything about taking a stand you need to learn to read more carefully- I'm Hokie- the original poster is Hokie BIRD. Did you not think it was weird that we had two different opinions?

    Yes.

All of our pastors are sinners. I know not a single perfect one.

Add to that, one can be a homosexual and not act on it. Remember that, according to the Bible, God hates the act and not the person.

God also hates the many acts of sin committed by heterosexual pastors.

    You'll shoot your eye out.

    Thank you for saying that!
In this area its still hard for some to accept a woman pastor- so of course they are going to have problems with a homosexual pastor.

    I agree with you Elp6n.

If your religious and it's against the Bible. Then how can it be truth.
If there is two truths then what is right and what is wrong?
Shall a man lie with another man? Shall a woman lie with another woman?
Shall the two be one? Can they do the natural functions of the other according to what is man and woman or husband and wife?
Can they reproduce and populate the earth? Female and female united as one or male and male united as one.
    A few questions.
Reason it among yourselves and justify it how you want.
For even justifying today's sins is in the Bible.
I think it is said in some text, they will be given over to a reprobate mind, to believe a lie and to be damned.
And the word of God will be changed to well basically fit what is the order for the day.
God looked down and seen it was not good for man, Adam, to be alone. And created a partner for him.
    Eve. A female.
    Not Steve, Jeff or Bill.
But Eve. A partner, companion, mate and eventually wife.

Re: When are we going to take a stand?

Some of that didn't make sense.

No one said anything about the truth. One can go to a church with a homosexual pastor and not be homosexual. They can still learn from their pastor. Just because their actions may not be in accordance to what you believe doesn't mean you can't learn from them. Again it isn't our place to judge. That isn't our job. We are supposed to love and treat everyone equally. Isn't that one of the core principles of Christianity- equality?

No they can't either. Read it and believe it. If it's wrong it's wrong. Homosexuality is wrong. Sodom and Gommorhea.
    Read your Bible.
Adam was created and Eve created for Adam.
When the Ark was loaded it was done so as male and female to reproduce. Not male and male?

This is what makes no sense. A pastor is to teach and live what they teach and believe. As is anyone with any teachings in the church. If the below makes sense, then your proving what the word says about changing it to make it work, for what you want. A person who not qualfied should not preach or teach the word of God. And if their not qualified they are not teaching the word of God. Read your own last statement and see.

Re: When are we going to take a stand?

All of our pastors are sinners. There is no one without sin.
Yet we learn from those sinners. There are many who learned for years under the guidance of pastors that turned out to be serial pedophiles - yet people learned from them.

And like I said before - one can be homosexual without acting on those urges, just as homosexuals can be attarcted to the opposite sex and not act on it.
    You'll shoot your eye out.
